High Place West, the first phase of the project, is situated on nearly an acre of land providing 47 affordable- to low-income housing units.
Sustainable elements include photovoltaic panels on the roof, a hydronic hot water system serving the community center, zero VOC paints and cabinetry and energy star appliances. Landscapes were also designed with sustainability in mind, using native drought-resistant plants. The project was funded by Community Corporation of Santa Monica.
