5600 Wilshire is a classic mixed-use project featuring 284 units over three levels (one subterranean) of parking for 592 cars. The project boasts 13,200 sf of ground-floor restaurant and retail space along Wilshire Boulevard, as well as a recreation center with pool and spa for residents.
Design features include a 10,000 cubic yard mat foundation that was poured in four different sequences utilizing two pumps at 300 yards per hour, as well as a stepped podium slab design to mitigate building height restrictions.
This project achieved a Silver rating from the U.S. Green Building Council and is the first multifamily development in Los Angeles to receive a GreenPoint-Rated designation from Build It Green. Throughout the accelerated construction process, Morley diverted more than 70% of construction waste, utilized more than 20% of post- and pre-consumer recycled content and secured more than 40% of all materials and furnishings from vendors that were within a 500 mile radius.
