Morley Construction Company provided concrete subcontracting services for this Westfield shopping center in La Jolla. The existing shopping center consisted of approximately 1.1 million square feet of retail shops, restaurants, bathroom facilities, and department stores in an open-air, single and multi-level mall with a common open-air circulating area. Morley assisted Westfield LLC in expanding the mall by adding an entire new multi-use wing encompassing 600,000 square feet of retail shops, department stores, restaurants, and a transit hub. Additionally, a 500,000-square-foot parking structure was added to support the expansion of retail. Morley’s scope included structural cast-in-place concrete columns and formed beam/deck work.
