This 104,000 sf Main Library for the City of Santa Monica features a café and courtyard, computer labs, auditorium space and a 560 car subterranean parking structure.
Sustainable highlights include a 200,000 gallon storm water retention tank, drought-tolerant landscaping, natural daylighting, perimeter daylight dimming controls, UV glass, electrified shades and an underfloor air distribution system. The project obtained a LEED Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
