The 170,000 sf Phase II Expansion of the California Science Center features science museum exhibits, administrative office space and back-of-house support spaces. The exhibits include living habitats, interactive museum elements and Ecosystems, a new pavilion featuring a 180,000 gallon kelp forest tank. Coordination of the structural concrete frame with complex mechanical, electrical, plumbing and life support systems required Building Information Modeling (3D modeling).
