Plaza Irvine Towers Phases I-III

Plaza Irvine Towers Phases I-III

Morley Construction Company provided concrete subcontracting services for Plaza Irvine Phases I-III. Phase I and II consist of two, 13-story concrete residential towers totaling 460,000 square feet. The project features a 250,000-square-foot parking structure with two below-grade levels and one above-grade level for 552 cars. Approximately 43,000 cubic yards of concrete were placed on Phases I and II. Phase III consists of 105 units in 14 stories above five levels of parking (one above-grade level) for 266 cars. Morley’s scope of work included the forming, placing, and finishing of 24,000 cubic yards of concrete.

Morley developed form cycling systems on each of the towers to meet expedited schedules, and floor flatness and floor levelness achieved F-meter values of 30 and 20, respectively. Concrete design included exposed architectural concrete balconies and elevated roof-level pool deck with a water-proofed admixture.
