Morley Construction Company provided concrete subcontracting services for Park Terrace Condominiums, which features 223 units in two towers overlooking Petco Park in San Diego’s East Village neighborhood. In addition to the 277,000 square feet of residential space, the project includes ground-level retail and commercial spaces as well as three levels and 126,500 square feet of subterranean parking for 314 cars. Approximately 25,000 cubic yards of concrete was placed on the project. Tradesmen and materials had to be precisely coordinated in order to achieve the schedule and quality of terraced levels with architectural concrete walls interlaced with metal panels, brick, and glazing. Using state-of-the art layout equipment, Morley was able to ensure proper alignments of slab edges and formwork along three different building axes.
