Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) Barracks Complex

The Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) Barracks Complex consists of three buildings, totaling 315,000 square feet. The Physical Conditioning Recruit Barracks and Recruit Training Barrack are two, three-story cast-in-place open bay barracks designed to accommodate 1,800 new US Marine Recruits. Each building was configured into open sleeping bays with a central core consisting of restrooms, showers, command offices, and mechanical spaces. The Sports Medicine and Reconditioning Therapy Clinic is a steel structure with fill on metal deck and contains an exercise and strength training area, a therapy pool and whirlpool, treatment rooms, training rooms, offices, lockers, showers, and restrooms.

 

Morley Construction Company provided concrete subcontracting services for the project, totaling nearly 14,700 cubic yards.
