Morley provided cast-in-place and architectural concrete services for Qualcomm’s Building AY in San Diego. As part of the Pacific Center campus expansion, the development was transformed from a vehicle-oriented site into a pedestrian-friendly campus, creating a cohesive environment. The project adds 410,000 sf of office, dry laboratory, café, health and fitness center, lecture hall, multi-purpose learning and conference space to the campus.
Sustainable features include an architectural bioswale designed to remove silt and pollution from surface runoff water in the interior courtyard, natural daylighting and a state-of-the-art façade that controls heat and glare. It is also one of the largest naturally ventilated buildings in the country. These high-performance features create a high-quality work environment.
