Polytechnic School Phases I-IV

Polytechnic School Phases I-IV

Additions and renovations of Polytechnic School’s 16-acre campus were performed in four phases. Phase I consists of public street work. Phase II consists of a 3,000-square-foot building addition, the relocation and renovation of a 1928 historic building originally designed by Roland Coate, and the construction of a new maintenance building. Phase III consists of a two-level subterranean parking structure for 283 cars, four new educational buildings, two relocated historic buildings originally designed by Myron Hunt and Gordon Kaufman, and outdoor recreational space. Phase IV consists of the demolition of two levels of an existing wing to accommodate a new structural concrete wall and elevator tower. A new 29,380-square-foot structural steel math and science academic building was built, featuring a third-floor library.

Morley Construction Company provided concrete subcontracting services for all phases of construction. Work was performed while school was in active session.
