Morley provided concrete subcontractor services for Plaza Irvine Phases I-III. Phase I and II consist of two, 13-story concrete residential towers that total 460,000 sf. The project features a 250,000 sf parking structure with two below-grade levels and one above-grade level for 552 cars. Approximately 43,000 cubic yards of concrete were used.
Phase III consists of 105 units in 13 stories above five levels of parking (one above-grade level) for 266 cars. Morley’s scope of work included the forming, placing, and finishing of 24,000 cubic yards of concrete.
Morley developed form cycling systems on each of the towers to meet expedited schedules, and floor flatness and floor levelness achieved F-meter values of 30 and 20, respectively. Concrete design include exposed architectural concrete balconies and elevated roof-level pool deck with an water-proofed admixture.
