This nine-building educational campus dedicated to visual and performing arts in downtown Los Angeles features a 140' tower and a grand stair at the school's primary entrance. While the design intent included an “as-cast” finish for all architectural concrete walls, it was imperative for Morley to create detailed lift plans so form breaks would appear at construction joint locations. Mock-ups were created to confirm tie-hole shape and pattern, plywood panel joint pattern, and reveal shape and pattern. Approximately 50% of all concrete walls were architectural.
